Hosting a "Smurftastic Party"

I was recently selected by Crowdtap to host a "Smurftastic Party" to celebrate the release of "The Smurfs" on Blu-Ray/DVD.  I was super excited to host this party as I  grew up with the Smurfs and love introducing them to my children.   To help host this party Crowdtap provided me with a digital kit sent out  via email that included clips, game downloads, coloring sheets, printable hats & glasses.

Of course party food is a must!   I cam across this recipe for Blue Velvet Cake and of course had to attempt it in cupcake form!   It was divine!   I am thinking about switching up my normal Red Velvet cake balls I make for the holidays now to this blue version!   Fun!

I could not just serve cupcakes, so of course had sub sandwiches, veggies, chip and blue punch!
Recipe for Blue Punch (simple enough)
  • 1 liter 7UP
  • 1/2 gallon blue Hawaiian Punch drink
Party favors were on a budget as we were responsible for all the supplies.  I picked up Smurf party favor bags and stickers at my local half off party store and then picked up the super cute Smurf lip balms at Walmart!

Additional fun coloring/activity sheets that were distributed along with the goodie bags for the party goers to work on at home as well!

A trip after party to Build-A-Bear was a must to make Smurfette!
We saw the Smurf movie at the theater and the kids loved it. Unfortunately we did not have the DVD at the time of this party and showed clips of the film instead. Once we pick up the DVD or if Santa brings it, we will have a Smurf Take 2 Movie Showing Party!

Disclosure:  I was not compensated for this post.  I received a digital download kit t and information via Crowdtap for purposes of hosting this party, however all opinions are my own.
