Yes, they do pose a hazard to people, but they do serve a useful purpose, as all creatures do. This is a book to teach kids all about rattlesnakes and what to do if they encounter one. Not only was this an enjoyable read, but educational! A great addition to any classroom as the back of the book is chalk full of educational information!
Snakes have their own set of rules, and we have ours. By knowing the rules, we can get past the fear and learn more about them.
