We Bought a Zoo Roars onto Blu-ray & DVD April 3
Benjamin Mee (Damon) is a Los Angeles newspaper columnist and adventure writer who, as a single father, faces the challenges of raising his two young children. Hoping that a fresh start and a new life will restore their family spirit, Mee quits his job and buys an old rural house outside the city with a unique bonus feature: a zoo named the Rosemoor Animal Park, where dozens of animals reside under the care of head zookeeper Kelly Foster (Johansson) and her dedicated team. With no experience, limited time and a shoestring budget, Mee sets out with the support of his family and the local community to reopen the zoo. Now, Benjamin is no longer reporting an adventure story; he’s living it in his own backyard.
Featuring an incredible musical score composed by Jónsi of the band Sigur Rós, the WE BOUGHT A ZOO Blu-ray is loaded with over 2½ hours of special features including 20 deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, four behind-the-scenes featurettes, commentary with Director Cameron Crowe, star J.B. Smoove (The Sitter, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Editor Mark Livolsi, and more. The film also features an English Family Friendly Audio Track that earned the Dove Seal of Approval. This is one of those feel good movies, plus it stars Matt Damon and he is not bad on the eyes! I loved the story, it made me cry, smile, laugh, etc. I had wanted to see this at the theatre, but was not sure if the kids would enjoy it (PG rating). The kids loved the animals (they are 4 & 6) and did understand most of the storyline! There were a couple of swear words, but the kids seemed to miss them! In the movie the character Matt Damon plays Ben Mee tells his son that: “You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.” These are great words to live by! Just taking a chance on something, might be the best decision of your life! I highly recommend you having the family all together for a movie night once this comes out!

Jane by Design is about a high school student named Jane Quimby, who applies for an internship at a huge fashion company. Jane's dream comes true when she is mistaken and lands the job as an assistant and she lands smack in the middle of high fashion. Jane's partner in crime in all the hijinks to keep her secret is her best friend Billy. Billy is the kind of best friend we all want. The one person who will be there for you no matter what.
The cast is perfect and I loved watching the characters evolve as the episodes progressed. I admit it, I sat and watched a number of them back to back! If you are looking for a show that is good, clean and entertaining, then this is the show for you.

In honor of The Clorox Lounge launch and the Last Comic Sitting Competition, Social Moms teamed up with Clorox to have some of us mom blogger share a story or two about the funniest thing our kid has ever done in the bathroom! My son is four and a quiet short, so potty training was quiet difficult at the start until I got a stool that encompassed the toilet, to make it easy for him to climb up and down. He would spend a good amount of time in there, he even had a stack of books on the back of the toilet he would "read". Walking down the hall you would see his short little legs propped on the stool, pants around his legs, holding a book. Once noticed, he would state "Mom, I am just reading in here". Ahhh... the men reading in the bathroom has started early here! But it gets better, one night he crept into daddy's bathroom and grabbed one of his electronic games (Yahtzee), turned the volume on and took it with him to the bathroom. From behind the closed door you could hear bling, bling, bling, roll, etc. I sat in the hall against the wall laughing. At 2 he was just like his daddy!
Once he mastered the sit down, we worked on having him standing to pee. The focus was the hardest for him. A number of times in the middle of peeing, he would turn because of a sound, wanted to tell us something etc. and the pee would go everywhere. If you remember the movie "Daddy Daycare" and when they walked into the bathroom after boys had been in... that is how I have felt. If you have boys, you know!
